We are headed into The Void:
After spending the last few months roasting in the Scablands, we’re headed to the freezing emptiness of outer-space. 1,999 Drifters from The Void will mint on November 15th.
We will be building spaceships. After the mint, the community will come together with pro 3D artists in a series of creative labs. The result will be a line of highly detailed models that will form a new NFT collection and directly be used in the film. We intend for every holder to get a spaceship NFT. Just like your Drifter, your ship could make directly into the movie. Rumor has it loot cards can be used to barter for spaceship upgrades.
The Void contains new stories, events and worldbuilding. It also is a shift toward channeling the power of the community into creating assets for the film itself.
Minting Info:
Holders will get to mint on Nov. 15th.
Holders will get one reserved mint for every drifter they currently hold. If you have 5 Scablands Drifters, you will have a guaranteed opportunity to mint 5 Void Drifters.
A private mint will be held for newcomers with special access on Nov. 16th.
The exact price will be announced closer to the mint date, but you can expect it to be similar to the last mint.
You can score a new loot card by referring two new members to our discord - these members will get access to the private mint (details in Discord). 👈
Get Your Drifter In The Movie:
To celebrate the transition from the Scablands to The Void we are holding a massive raffle for our holders. Getting a Drifter into the film is the jackpot - but we will also be raffling away two Blue Drifter NFTs, two Mech Suits 👀, and the Loot Eater herself (along with her wallet of 12x Loot Cards).
Each Drifter you hold counts as one raffle ticket. If you win the opportunity to get your Drifter in the film you can choose which of your Drifters receives the honor. Click the link below. All you have to provide is contact info and wallet address (No wallet connection is required).
Last day to enter the raffle is Nov. 1st. We will announce the winners live on a Twitter Spaces shortly after.
Lykenrot Release
Laurie Greasley has been compiling dozens of the community's stories and raffled Drifters together in a massive art piece. We’ve released a few teasers, and the full piece will be released shortly.
The full poster will be split into four independent scenes. One randomly selected scene will be airdropped per Drifter held. All four pieces can be assembled and burned to create the full poster NFT. A physical release of the poster will follow.
One of the WIP teasers, just a small part of the full piece
New Loot Cards
The community unleashed its creativity in the Scablands Labs. Dozens of ideas were submitted, and after two rounds of voting five new phenomena became canon and yielded new Loot Cards. A rich world is materializing.
If you haven’t already, check to see if you’ve received a loot card on Looksrare.
The Augurbox Has Been Sold
After fielding many offers, the Loot Eater has bestowed the confounding device (a 1:1 Loot Card NFT) to her cloister of grassroots followers known as The Cult of the Loot Eater for handsome offer of 2x Dozegrass, 2x Juicebox, 2x Ommonite, 2x Blybold, 2x Scableaf, 1x Skrit, and 1x Hivver Loot Cards.
The Augurbox surfaced in the Scablands some time ago, presenting itself as a sort of machine oracle, spewing cryptic answers to obtuse questions. When coordinates to “ancient treasure” were teased, the Loot Eater began to salivate. But negotiations collapsed as the AI relic turned sour on our “soft species”, opting to sleep until “more capable actuators emerge”. Its final, haunting message warned of the inevitable restoration of “the one who lies dormant”.
With the subsequent Scenes from the Fringe airdrop, we learned that the Augurbox came to the Scablands with the Dob Hessian Crew, lured by its similar promises of mysterious treasure. But when the crew discovered that their grueling Scablands trek was at the behest of mystic machine, mutiny ensued, leaving Dob and the device to fend for themselves in the wild.
Only time will tell what, if anything, the Augurbox has in store for its new stewards. If the legends are to be believed, many of the Pre-Gigarian Super Intelligentsia proved to be fickle gods.
The Augurbox Expedition, the latest of the Scenes from the Fringe series was airdropped to all of our holders (check your hidden folder).
Drifter vs. Drifter
Drifters gathered. A makeshift arena was constructed. Single combat was waged in a good old fashioned tourney. Rare loot fell to the champions.
