Assemble Your Crew
Our final Masscraft challenge invites you to assemble a crew of drifters to go on a treasure hunt. There’s been word at the bench that a large, valuable cache of Vellum Shale has been found and every able-bodied Drifter is scrambling to get it (Read the whole story here).
Teams will consist of five drifters. You can make a team out of your own Drifters or team up with other holders. Once all the teams are assembled we will hold a live-streamed event where the Fringe team will tell the story of the treasure hunt where at various intervals your crew scores points based on your Drifter’s traits.
Everyone who enters gets a loot card
Based on how your crew scorew you will be awarded SAP CANS, which can be used to purchase spacecraft.
As usual, all the nitty-gritty details are in the Discord. If you plan to submit a crew entirely of your own Drifters or have already teamed up with other holders, you can submit here.
If you don’t have a full team you can submit your individual Drifter to the “classifieds.” Community members can browse the listings and reach out to you to join their crew. If anyone is still not on a crew, all remaining drifters in the classifieds will automatically grouped into teams before the event. So to guarantee your Drifter gets on a team, submit your single drifter to the classifieds here.
Drifter holders can only participate on a single team.

Lykenrot prints are finally available. This art piece created by Laurie Greasley based off the stories submitted by our community remains one of the most incredible collaborations we’ve done. LEGO Winners
The LEGO Spacecraft competition was one of our biggest and most fun so far. Tim Goddard took the top prize by capturing The Fringe spirit with this “camper van in space.” Our team will now adapt this LEGO ship into a full 3D model we can use in the film. We will be posting making-of updates soon.
But there were so many more amazing entries. Judging this contest took days of deliberation. You can see more entries both on our Instagram and Discord… there’s hundreds!
Spacecraft Depot Update
We are getting very close to releasing our Spacecraft collection. We have one more spacecraft to model (above) and are still putting the finishing touches on the depot itself. In our last update we revealed that SAP CANS, a common fuel, will be the in-world bartering currency used to purchase spacecraft. You can trade your loot cards for SAP CANS. Below is the current value of the loot cards that have been released. This might shift slightly when the “Wirecutters” loot card is dropped after our final challenge.
Just a reminder, you have one final chance of getting a loot card by participating in the Assemble Your Crew challenge. All you have to do is submit a drifter.
Strikes in Hollywood
You may have heard about both the writers and actors guilds striking. The Fringe team is supportive of both strikes and hope they bring about change in the industry. Our project is impacted by the strikes in that we are unable to submit our finished script to either actors or financiers. So until they conclude, we’ll just keep building The Fringe.
